UPAL Cooperative Cisternino was established in 1956 when 22 wine producers, gathered on a warm August day, decided to give dignity to their work and the right valor to their products.
Since then we are now more than a thousand members with the same goal of creating a dynamic wine cooperative.
Itria Valley
Locorotondo DOC
Locorotondo DOC is a dry white wine, lemon-green in colour, made from the rarely seen Verdeca grape, Bianco d’Alessano and Fiano and/or Bombino Bianco. The wine is grown around the city of Locorotondo, in the Itria Valley.
Often, Locorotondo DOC is perceived as the best Apulian white wine and undoubtedly, its quality is truly exceptional: a pleasant, subtle and fruity taste, with an almond-like aftertaste, which makes it excellent for fish dishes.
