£89.90

The Amarone Riserva “Il Fornetto” is produced in limited quantities and only during the best vintages, distinguishing itself with extraordinary strength and complexity. Thanks to its exceptional longevity, Il Fornetto can age for up to twenty years.
Its color is a deep ruby red. The bouquet is expansive, revealing notes of cherry, dried fruit, vanilla, with hints of black pepper and liquorice standing out. On the palate, it presents itself as complete, possessing exceptional power yet incredibly elegant.
A wine for contemplation, it pairs wonderfully with 90% dark chocolate or game meat and aged cheeses, as tradition dictates.

Amarone Riserva DOCG "Il Fornetto", Why we love it and why you’ll love it too!

There’s Amarone, and then there’s Amarone Riserva DOCG “Il Fornetto”. This 2016 from Accordini is the kind of bottle that turns an evening into a memory.
It’s the bottle you reach for when you’re ready to turn up the volume — bold, brooding, and full of drama (the good kind). “Il Fornetto” is all dried fruit, dark chocolate, and spice, wrapped in velvet and dipped in power. It’s intense but knows how to behave.
Ideal for big moments or for making regular moments feel kind of epic. Just open it, pour slow, and let it speak. Loudly.

Amarone della Valpolicella

Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG became an international phenomenon in the 1990s. The name Amarone means “big bitter,” yet despite that, it gained fame for its bold, rich character. When done well, Amarone offers a seductive mix of structure and softness, with deep flavours and long aging potential. Typical notes include dark berries, cocoa, and raisin — the result of a unique process called appassimento. After harvest, the grapes are dried on mats or hung from rafters for several weeks. This concentrates sugars and flavours, leading to a wine with impressive texture and alcohol levels often nearing 17% ABV.
It’s big, unapologetic, and unforgettable.

Stefano Accordini

The Stefano Accordini winery is a true family affair. Led by Stefano, supported by his wife Giuseppina and their sons Tiziano and Daniele, the estate covers just 4 hectares in Negrar, the heart of Valpolicella Classica. Though not a large winery, it’s equipped with cutting-edge technology — and even more importantly, with a century of experience.

The family grows native grapes like Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella on high-altitude vineyards where limestone-rich, skeletal soils produce low yields but exceptional quality. These conditions naturally encourage the development of intense aromas, especially the spicy notes that make Valpolicella wines so distinctive.
Here, wines like Valpolicella Ripasso and Amarone reach their full expression.

Today, the fourth generation  (Giacomo, Paolo, and Marco) continues the work with the same passion and growing awareness of sustainability. All of the estate’s vineyards are farmed according to organic methods, ensuring that every bottle reflects both the land and the future they are helping to preserve.
