Bright lemon yellow with greenish hint. On the nose bell pepper and tomato leaf are accompanied by the luscious aroma of apricot, grapefruit and tropical fruit. Rich and aromatic flavor.
The high acidity of Sauvignon has the ability to make most foods shine. Wonderful with appetizers, shellfish, grilled fish, white meats such as chicken or veal.

Beginning in 1899, at the Padua estate, Piera’s story has been passed down through the family from generation to generation, from father to daughter.
Founded by her grandfather Giovanni, developed by her father Mario, Piera 1899 owes its reputation both in Italy and abroad to Piera Martellozzo, who, with her pioneering, ahead-of-her-times spirit, led the winery to its primary role in the Italian wine scenario with talent, frequently anticipating trends and seeking out its own path to quality.
The recognised quality of Piera 1899 wines is the result of everyday hard work founded on respect for the land and its traditions.
Since the 1990s thorough reassessment work on then little known native vines was done with varieties such as Raboso del Piave and Ribolla Gialla. In 1998 the first organic wine range was launched. Since the noughties an ever growing Prosecco production has been supplemented by new sparkling wines such as Muller Thurgau, Traminer and Moscato.

Sauvignon Blanc is one of the most widespread wines in the world and we can find endless interpretations of this noble grape that is thought to have been born in the Loire, although some theories state it is originally from Bordeaux.
The origin of its name derives from “sauvage” (wild) due to its origins of native plant of the French south-west. It can do well in cooler areas within Europe, including parts of Austria and Hungary.
In New Zealand, it produces a stunning array of pungently, assertive characters, from the green grass and asparagus flavours to the more tropical, ripe spectrum of grapefruit, passion fruit and mango.
The Sauvignon cause has also been taken up to good and affordable effect by Chile and South Africa, whose cooler spots are proving ideal for this wonderfully zingy, fresh grape variety. In Italy, Sauvignon Blanc has found fertile ground on the marl and sandstone of the hills of Collio Goriziano and the Colli Orientali del Friuli, where it dominates together with the Friulano, making Friuli an obligatory destination for every white wine lover.
