The vineyards enjoy an advantageous position in one of the most acclaimed and best suited areas for the production of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi.

Rosso Piceno

The red wine Rosso Piceno is grown in a large area in the eastern part of Marche, between Ascoli Piceno in the South, and Senigallia in the North. The wine has a more or less intense ruby red color, which turns to garnet red with age. The taste may vary, regulations allowing a grape composition consisting of Montepulciano  (35-70%), Sangiovese (30-50%), with the permitted addition of local non-aromatic red grapes (0-15%). Both of them produce a range of styles. They can yield soft, fruity reds great for everyday enjoyment, idiosyncratic terroir driven wines from unique sites and even dense, ageworthy expressions that deserve extended bottle age to show their best. Some producers are experimenting with 100% Sangiovese, but the highest quality is achieved after a nice shot of Montepulciano.
Rosso Piceno is a wine with a characteristic bouquet and a dry, harmonious and balanced taste and body.
