Barolo DOCG Bricco San Pietro , Why We Love It And Why You'll love it Too!

Barolo DOCG Bricco San Pietro is one of Broccardo’s flagship wines.
It is a classic yet powerful Nebbiolo, with an aromatic profile centred on ripe fruit and floral notes. On the palate, it is fresh and dry, with dense, precise tannins and subtle spicy undertones.
This complexity makes Bricco San Pietro one of the most fascinating and structured expressions of Barolo, in contrast to the more delicate styles from Manzoni, Cucchi, and Viglioni.

This wine captures the essence of Monforte d’Alba, showcasing a harmonious balance between power and finesse.

Broccardo | A Legacy of Passion e Tradition

Three siblings: Filippo, Laura, and Federica Broccardo, have turned their family’s heritage into a thriving winery. Their story is one of respect for the land, relentless dedication, and a commitment to producing authentic Langhe wines.
In the 1970s, the family primarily grew and sold grapes, making wine only for close friends. Over time, their passion led them to focus on crafting high-quality wines, exclusively from native grape varieties.

At Broccardo, winemaking philosophy is about purity and authenticity. They preserve the natural fruit character of each grape, avoiding unnecessary interventions. This approach ensures that every bottle reflects the unique essence of the Langhe region.
Since 2014, Broccardo has been part of the UNESCO-listed Langhe area, a recognition of its historical and cultural significance in winemaking.

Their philosophy blends tradition with innovation, keeping alive the timeless techniques passed down through generations while embracing modern advancements. The result? Wines that tell the story of the land and the people who nurture it.

Bricco San Pietro | The Heart of Monforte d’Alba

Together with Bussia, Bricco San Pietro is one of the giants of the western slope of Monforte d’Alba.
This unique cru extends: from the cooler, steeper slopes facing Corsini to the warmer, more humid areas of Settevie and Manzoni towards the vast Tantesi zone and the rolling hills of Pansoglio, Cucchi, and Viglioni.

Over time, Bricco San Pietro has witnessed a surge in new vineyards and wineries, transforming from an almost unexplored zone into one of Monforte’s most prized areas.
