Pecorino “Tertulia” is a breath of fresh air, like opening a window onto the Adriatic hills. It’s the wine you pour when the sky is blue, lunch is light, and laughter is easy. The fruit is generous, the acidity keeps it lifted, and every sip feels like sunshine in a glass.
Made for everyday moments that feel a little more special. It’s honest, refreshing, and truly delicious, just like the land it comes from.
Savini
Fattoria Giuseppe Savini was founded in 1949 in the heart of Abruzzo. It all began with Vincenzo Savini and was later expanded by his son Giuseppe, who revived the family brand after a cooperative experience.
Today, the company is led by Giovanni, Michele, Simone, and Sigismondo — the latter overseeing vineyard care with dedication and expertise. With the arrival of the fourth generation, new energy and fresh ideas are shaping the future of the winery.
Savini is more than a name. It’s a family, a legacy, and a promise of quality rooted in tradition, yet always looking ahead.
Pecorino
The Pecorino grape may share its name with a well-known cheese, but its story is entirely different. The name comes from local shepherds who used to snack on these grapes while watching over their flocks.
By the mid-20th century, Pecorino was believed to be extinct. That changed in the early 1980s, when a local producer discovered an old vineyard with surviving Pecorino vines. From that moment, its remarkable revival began.
This grape is known for its naturally high sugar content and its ability to express the character of the land with clarity. Pecorino is both delicate and expressive, requiring the touch of a skilled and patient winemaker. You can enjoy it young, when it’s fresh and lively. Or you can age it, allowing its complexity to fully unfold.
The best Pecorino wines come from central Italy, especially Abruzzo and Marche. The Offida DOCG, in particular, produces some of the finest expressions.
Grown in fertile soils with good water availability, Pecorino yields wines with zesty citrus aromas, vibrant acidity, a balanced structure, and a long, clean finish.
